Recognition of Examinations and Credits
The recognition of an examination may be asked for during the first week after the commencement of the study at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacký University at the latest. Students submit the application including transcript, detailed syllabus and number of instruction hours at the Student Department of the Dean’s office.
- Examination passed at the Medical Faculties (General Medicine study program) shown on the WHO listing may be recognized on recommendation of the guaranteeing Department. The examination result must be at least “B” (very good) and the time elapsed from the previous study must not be longer than 3 years.
- Examination in biology, chemistry, and physics passed at other Universities may be recognized on recommendation of respective guaranteeing Department to students who achieved the score of 27 or more in the MCAT.
- Students who achieved bachelor degree in biology, chemistry, physics or in a program with a high proportion of these subjects may have the examination recognized after they have shown good orientation in the subject by means of a written test taken two weeks after the commencement of the study at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacký University at the latest. Also in this case there has to be recommendation of the guaranteeing Department, the examination result must be at least “B” (very good) and the time elapsed from the previous study must not be longer than 3 years.
Exemptions from the course do not result in tuition fees reduction.
